BACKGROUND
The launch of Travelling While Standing Still was a dream come true for Macedon based creatives Jacqui Henshaw and Keith Smith.
PROJECT - COPYWRITING
When Kaye Thompson Creative was briefed on the Travelling While Still brand, the name and label design for the gin were already in place. I was asked to create a tagline, back label copy and copywriting for the website. Since its launch in 2022, Travelling While Standing Still has won a swathe of Australian and International awards.

LABEL COPY
Travelling While Standing Still takes you on a journey to the wild beauty of the Australian coast where the Southern Ocean meets the bush. Infused with carefully selected native Australian botanicals of seaspray, saltbush and desert lime; one taste is to be transported to the sand, sea and sunshine of our Antipodean homeland. Serve thoughtfully with a pinch of sea salt and a twist of lime.
BRAND STORY
Travelling While Standing Still was inspired by our shared love of the Australian coast, where the Southern Ocean meets the bush. Summer holidays spent staying with friends and family in the most extraordinary and character-filled beach houses. Swimming in the sea, then stretching out on the warm sand; the salt drying white on our skin, as the sounds of the sea, surf, and sleepy conversation drifted over us.
Then... come late afternoon we’d all head back to the house for showers and a night of great food, wine, music and exuberant conversation. Of course, there was one thing that never changed, wherever we stayed and whichever group of friends we were with, it was the quintessential a gin & tonic (or two!) on the front lawn, veranda or deck, that marked the end of a day at the beach, and the anticipation and excitement of the evening ahead.
ABOUT JACQUI AND KEITH
Jacqui Henshaw is a highly awarded advertising and art photographer, with works in both public and private collections. She holds a BA in photography and an MA in entrepreneurship. Keith Smith is a much-awarded graphic designer with multiple Australian and International clients in the tourism, beauty and alcohol industry. He’s also a talented musician, songwriter and composer.
